Ludwigsfelder FC is a German football club from Ludwigsfelde in Brandenburg.
History
The association was created in 1947 as Vorwärts Ludwigsfelde as the postwar successor to Rot-Weiß Ludwigsfelde established in 1939. The club was renamed BSG Traktor Ludwigsfelde in 1952, then BSG Motor Ludwigsfelde in 1953, before going on to make several appearances in East Germany's second division DDR-Liga through the 1970s and 1980s.
After German reunification in 1990 the club competed in the Landesliga Brandenburg (VI) until winning its way to the Verbandsliga Brandenburg (V) in 1997. In 2004 a Verbandsliga championship saw the club promoted to the NOFV-Oberliga Nord where they played until their relegation in 2011. In 2013 they slipped further down to Landesliga Brandenburg (VII) but won the league in 2015–16 and were promoted.
Ludwigsfelde won the Brandenburgischer Landespokal in 2003 with a 1–0 victory over Brandenburger SC Süd 05. This qualified the team for the DFB-Pokal where they were defeated 1–9 by Bundesliga side SV Werder Bremen in the first round.
Il club fu fondato il 12 luglio 1909 con il nome di Ludwigsfelder Fussball-Club. Nel 1919 si fuse con il Turn-Verein Ludwigsfelde, assumendo il nome di Turn- und Sportverein Ludwigsfelde. Nel 1933, con l'avvento del nazismo, il club fu costretto a sciogliersi.
Dopo la seconda guerra mondiale, il club fu rifondato il 18 agosto 1945 con il nome di Sportgemeinschaft Ludwigsfelde. Nel 1948 cambiò nome in Ludwigsfelder Fussball-Club.
Il Ludwigsfelder FC ha giocato per diverse stagioni in Oberliga Nordost, la seconda serie del campionato tedesco orientale. Nel 1972, il club raggiunse il quarto posto in classifica, il suo miglior risultato di sempre. Nel 1974, il club vinse la FDGB-Pokal, la coppa nazionale della Germania orientale.
Dopo la riunificazione tedesca, il Ludwigsfelder FC fu ammesso in Regionalliga Nordost, la terza serie del campionato tedesco. Nel 1994, il club retrocesse in Oberliga Nordost, la quarta serie. Nel 2001, il club retrocesse nuovamente in Landesliga Brandenburg.
Il Ludwigsfelder FC è tornato a giocare in Oberliga Nordost nel 2009, dopo aver vinto il campionato di Landesliga Brandenburg. Tuttavia, il club retrocesse nuovamente in Landesliga Brandenburg nel 2012.
