Wikipedia - F.C. Arad
F.C. Arad (Hebrew: מועדון כדורגל ערד), Moadon Kaduregel Arad, lit. Football Club Arad (or in short Hebrew: מ.כ. ערד, Mem Kaf Arad, lit. F.C. Arad) was an Israeli football club based in Arad. The club last played in the Liga Gimel South division.
History
The club was founded in 2012, with the purpose of building a new club, which is based on local players from Arad. F.C. Arad joined Liga Gimel South division and played their first match on 28 September 2012, where they were beaten 1–2 by F.C. Rishon LeZion.
After finished their first season at the bottom of their division, and the following season as second bottom, the club's activity was ceased at the summer of 2014, due to financial problems and lack of support from the municipality of Arad. However, after local rivals, Hapoel Arad, were dissolved during the 2014–15 season, and a new mayor was elected in Arad, the club was re-established at the summer of 2015, supported by the municipality.
Il FC Arad è stato fondato nel 2006 come Hapoel Arad. La squadra ha giocato nelle serie minori del campionato israeliano fino al 2011, quando ha ottenuto la promozione in Liga Alef.
Nella stagione 2011-2012, l'FC Arad ha raggiunto i play-off per la promozione in Liga Leumit, la seconda divisione del campionato israeliano di calcio, ma ha perso in finale contro l'Hapoel Kfar Saba.
Nella stagione 2012-2013, l'FC Arad ha nuovamente raggiunto i play-off per la promozione in Liga Leumit, ma ha perso in semifinale contro l'Hapoel Ramat Gan.
Nella stagione 2013-2014, l'FC Arad ha vinto il campionato di Liga Alef e ha ottenuto la promozione in Liga Leumit.
Nella stagione 2014-2015, l'FC Arad ha concluso il campionato di Liga Leumit al 13° posto, evitando la retrocessione in Liga Alef.
Nella stagione 2015-2016, l'FC Arad ha concluso il campionato di Liga Leumit al 10° posto.
Nella stagione 2016-2017, l'FC Arad ha concluso il campionato di Liga Leumit al 12° posto.
Nella stagione 2017-2018, l'FC Arad ha concluso il campionato di Liga Leumit al 14° posto, retrocedendo in Liga Alef.
Nella stagione 2018-2019, l'FC Arad ha vinto il campionato di Liga Alef e ha ottenuto la promozione in Liga Leumit.
Nella stagione 2019-2020, l'FC Arad ha concluso il campionato di Liga Leumit al 12° posto.
Nella stagione 2020-2021, l'FC Arad ha concluso il campionato di Liga Leumit al 9° posto.
Nella stagione 2021-2022, l'FC Arad ha concluso il campionato di Liga Leumit al 10° posto.
Nella stagione 2022-2023, l'FC Arad milita in Liga Alef.
