AEEK SYN.KA F.C., short for Athlitikí Énosi Ergazoménon Krítis SYN.KA (Greek: Αθλητική Ένωση Εργαζομένων Κρήτης ΣΥΝ.ΚΑ, translated as SYN.KA Athletic Union of Cretan Workers) was a Greek association football club based in the city of Chania on the island of Crete.
History
AEEK SYN.KA was established in 2009 as AEEK IN.KA, by a group of workers in the shops of the IN.KA. Suppliers' and Consumers' Association, a chain of supermarkets operating in Crete. The club began playing in the third level of the Chania regional FCA League structure and within a few years, it won promotion to the top-level Chania FCA A Division.
In the 2015−16 season, AEEK INKA were crowned champions of Chania by finishing first in the league, and eventually earned promotion to the Gamma Ethniki for the first time in their history, by placing second in the 2016 FCA Winners' Championship. They were instantly relegated however, as they finished in 15th place in Group 4.
L'AEK Atene Football Club è stato fondato nel 1924 da un gruppo di studenti greci dell'Università di Atene. Il club ha rapidamente guadagnato popolarità e nel 1931 ha vinto il suo primo campionato greco. L'AEK è stato uno dei fondatori della Super League greca nel 2006 e da allora ha vinto tre campionati.
L'AEK Atene è anche una squadra rispettata a livello europeo. Il club ha raggiunto le semifinali della Coppa UEFA nel 1977 e della Champions League nel 1996. L'AEK ha anche vinto la Coppa dei Balcani nel 1963 e la Coppa Intertoto UEFA nel 2004.
L'AEK Atene ha una lunga rivalità con l'Olympiacos e il Panathinaikos. Le partite tra queste tre squadre sono spesso molto combattute e intense. L'AEK ha anche una rivalità con il PAOK Salonicco.
L'AEK Atene è una delle squadre di calcio più popolari della Grecia. Il club ha una grande tifoseria e i suoi tifosi sono noti per essere molto appassionati. L'AEK è una squadra ricca di storia e tradizione e ha un futuro brillante davanti a sé.
