RTU FC

RTU FC or RTU Futbola centrs is a Latvian football club, affiliated with the Riga Technical University. They are based in the capital city of Riga and compete in the second highest division of Latvian football (the Latvian First League) and the Latvian Football Cup. From 2017 to 2018 the team partnered with the remnants of the now defunct Skonto FC, playing as RTU FC/Skonto Academy, after Skonto failed to receive the First League licence from LFF in 2016.

The club did not apply for the 2019 Latvian First League season, possibly due to financial issues.

L'RTU FC è una squadra di calcio lettone con sede a Riga. Il club è stato fondato nel 1999 come FK RTU ed è affiliato all'Università Tecnica di Riga. L'RTU FC milita attualmente nella Virslīga, la massima serie del campionato lettone di calcio.

La squadra ha vinto il suo primo trofeo nel 2001, quando ha conquistato la Coppa di Lettonia. Nel 2003, l'RTU FC ha vinto il suo primo campionato lettone. La squadra ha vinto altri due campionati nel 2004 e nel 2005.

L'RTU FC ha partecipato a diverse competizioni europee, tra cui la UEFA Champions League e la UEFA Europa League. La squadra ha raggiunto il secondo turno di qualificazione della UEFA Champions League nel 2004 e il terzo turno di qualificazione della UEFA Europa League nel 2011.

L'RTU FC è una delle squadre di calcio più titolate della Lettonia. La squadra ha vinto un totale di cinque campionati lettoni, tre Coppe di Lettonia e una Supercoppa di Lettonia.
