Il Delaware State Hornets è una squadra di pallacanestro universitaria che rappresenta la Delaware State University di Dover, Delaware. I Hornets competono nella divisione Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) della National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). La squadra gioca le partite casalinghe presso la Memorial Hall ed è allenata da Eric Skeeters.

I Hornets hanno vinto il campionato MEAC nel 1982, 1983, 1984 e 1992. Hanno partecipato al torneo NCAA una volta, nel 1982, quando hanno perso al primo turno contro la University of Maryland.

I Hornets sono stati fondati nel 1956. Il loro primo allenatore è stato James "Bo" Cooper. L'allenatore di maggior successo dei Hornets è stato John Chaney, che ha guidato la squadra ai titoli MEAC del 1982, 1983 e 1984. Chaney è stato anche l'allenatore dei Hornets quando hanno partecipato al torneo NCAA del 1982.

I Hornets sono una squadra giovane e promettente. Hanno un certo numero di giocatori talentuosi, tra cui il centro di 6 piedi e 11 pollici (2,11 m) Kendall Gray e l'attaccante di 6 piedi e 7 pollici (2,01 m) Tyree Robinson. I Hornets sperano di poter competere per il titolo MEAC nella stagione 2022-2023.
