Association Sportive Madinet d'Oran (Arabic: الجمعية الرياضية لمدينة وهران), known as ASM Oran or ASMO for short, is an Algerian football club based in Oran and founded in 1933. The club colours are green and white. Their home stadium, Habib Bouakeul Stadium, has a capacity of 15,000 spectators. The club plays in the Algerian Ligue 2. The club was famous for its youth program, which has produced many Algerian talents over the years. Because of this, the club is nicknamed El-Madrassa (The School).

History

The club was founded in 1933 in the quarter of Medina Jedida in Oran under the name of Association Sportive Musulmane d'Oran. The club changed the name to Association Sportive Chimiste d'Oran (ASC Oran) from 1977 to 1989 when it was sponsored by the national society SNIC, which had become ENAVA after. In 1989, the club was named Association Sportive Madinet d'Oran.

L'ASM Oran, ufficialmente noto come Association Sportive de la Marine d’Oran, è una squadra di calcio algerina con sede a Orano. Il club è stato fondato nel 1933 ed è uno dei club più antichi dell’Algeria.

L'ASM Oran gioca le sue partite casalinghe allo Stade Habib Bouakeul, che ha una capacità di 20.000 posti a sedere. I colori sociali della squadra sono il bianco e il nero.

L'ASM Oran ha vinto numerosi titoli nazionali, tra cui 4 campionati algerini, 4 Coppe d'Algeria e 2 Supercoppe d'Algeria. Il club ha anche partecipato a numerose competizioni internazionali, tra cui la CAF Champions League e la CAF Confederation Cup.

L'ASM Oran è una delle squadre più popolari dell’Algeria e ha una grande base di tifosi. Il club è anche noto per la sua forte accademia giovanile, che ha prodotto molti giocatori di talento.
