Power Basketball Club

Power Basketball Club, for sponsorship reasons named Betway Power, is an Ugandan basketball team based in Kampala.

The team was already active in the 1990s, as the Baptist Saints. In 1998, then named Black Power, they were one of the founding teams of the NBL Uganda.

Power has won the NBL Uganda five times, its last title being in 2012.

Il Power Basketball Club è una squadra di pallacanestro ugandese con sede a Kampala. Fondata nel 2006, è una delle squadre di maggior successo nella storia del campionato ugandese di pallacanestro, avendo vinto 7 titoli nazionali e 3 coppe nazionali.

La squadra è nota per il suo stile di gioco veloce e spettacolare, che le ha permesso di ottenere numerosi successi anche a livello internazionale. Nel 2017, il Power Basketball Club ha partecipato alla Basketball Africa League, il principale torneo continentale africano, raggiungendo le semifinali.

Tra i giocatori più importanti della squadra ci sono stati il ​​playmaker Jimmy Enabu, il centro Geoffrey Soro e l'ala piccola Isaac Afidra.

Il Power Basketball Club è una delle squadre più amate e seguite in Uganda, e rappresenta un punto di riferimento per il basket ugandese.
