Holyhead Hotspur

Holyhead Hotspur Football Club (Welsh: Clwb Pêl-droed Hotspur Caergybi) is a football club based in Holyhead, Anglesey. They currently play in the Ardal NW, the third tier of the Welsh football pyramid.

The team's first choice strip is burgundy shirts, burgundy shorts and white socks. The second choice strip is all blue.

Holyhead Hotspur play at the New Oval ground opposite the leisure centre in Holyhead. The new stadium was opened in a ceremony on 27 July 2007 with a friendly match against a Wolverhampton Wanderers XI.

L'Holyhead Hotspur Football Club è una squadra di calcio gallese con sede a Holyhead, in Galles del Nord. Fondata nel 1879, gioca nella Cymru North, la seconda divisione del calcio gallese, ed è l'unica squadra del Galles ad aver giocato nella Coppa dei Campioni UEFA. Nella stagione 1996-97, infatti, l'Hotspur, dopo aver vinto la Welsh Cup, è stato impegnato nel turno preliminare della massima competizione europea per club, dove ha affrontato i lettoni del Skonto Riga, arrendendosi solo dopo i calci di rigore. Lo Hotspur è la squadra più settentrionale del Galles e gioca le partite casalinghe al The New Stadium, un impianto con una capienza di 2.000 spettatori. I colori sociali del club sono il rosso e il bianco.
